Author’s Notes: The trick to the one-way reel is to make a point of passing right shoulders at the ends of the half reel, both to get in and to get out. The tracks danced by second couple, for example, are:

2M passes 2W with RS, 3W with LS, 1W with RS, then dances up the men’s side to finish in the center facing down.

2W passes 2M with RS, dances down the women’s side and into the center facing up, passes 1M with RS and 3M with LS to finish facing her partner.

Warning to teachers: From the outside, especially from the side, this reel looks wrong. Many times I have stopped a walk through to straighten things out only to be told (by everyone) that the figure had been working.
