I have taught exactly this dance many times as my misreading of Jack McConachie’s dance “The Laird and the Lass”. The first 16 bars are quite different than Jack’s and rather easier.

1c cross down into mirror Reels3 on opposite sides (1x,2,3)
9–
1c cross down into mirror Reels3 on own sides, but at the end 1c cross down again & face out as 2c dance up (2,1x,3)
17–
1c cast RSh round 1cnr & loop 1W/1M through 2c/3c to be LSh to P on centre line ; continue loop back out through 2c/3c & cast RSh round 4cnr (2,1,3)
25–
1c dance BtoB ; dance up through 2c | cast off (2,1,3)
