Hi All, I wrote this dance for a performance related to the Commonwealth Games which fell through, so I’ll share it here in case anyone is interested in giving it a try.
The Flame From Delhi
Square set 4x32R
1–8 Grand chain all round (1 bar per hand)
9–10 Turn ¾ RH to bring women into the middle
11–12 Women dance LH across half way while men dance one place clockwise
13–14 Turn ½ RH to bring men into the middle
15–16 Men dance LH across half way while women dance one place clockwise. Men finish back to back in the middle facing partner, one place ACW around set.
17–20 Highland setting
21–24 Tulloch turn RH, opening out into
25–28 Circle round to the left
29–32 All dance into the middle, pull back right shoulders, dance out and chase round to complete the circle. *
Finish in the order 2, 3, 4, 1 ready to start again
