The “Peter White Diagonal figure” (bars 17–24 and 25–32) is taken from the dance “Peter White” by the late Alec Hay. I don’t know if the figure has a name but it is a great formation. I devised this dance to introduce the figure to our TMR class one night when we didn’t have a teacher and were all bringing a dance or two. Joanne and our Peter White brought “Best Set in the Hall” for us to dance that night which has the same Peter White Diagonal figure but in quick time.
