Additional information
There has been, at various times, lots of controversy on the
Strathspey list as to what the name of this dance means. One school of
thought considers it a variation of »The Holly Bush«, while another
refers to a type of traditional fishing vessel called a »buss« which
was originally of Dutch design, hence »The Holland Buss«.
