Requires music which plays 5×32.

Ian Brockbank points out with reference to the description published in RSCDS Book 47:

I’ve had several queries asking me if the last 2 bars of The One O’Clock Canon have changed. For bars 63–64, Book 47 says

“1st couple cast off one place while the couple in fourth place dance up to third place.”

This is a misprint. Only on bars 159–160 do they dance up to third place. On all other times through (63–64, 95–96 and 127–128) they dance up to second place, allowing the previous first couple (half way through their dance) to cast into third place.

The One o'Clock Canon 4/4L · R64

A new couple starts Part 1 every 32 bars, and dances Part1+Part 2 (= 64 bars); music 5 x 32.

All Reels4 on own sides (2,1,3,4)
25–
Top two couples turn RH on side | Mid two couples LHA | 1c cast to 3pl (3c dance up, see Note) (2,3,1,4)

At this point 2c start to dance Part 1 from the top and the dance continues as follows:
Part 2

33–
2c dance as [1–8] while{8} 1c+4c (bottom couples) R&L (new dancing couple passing through the middle on [5–6] (3,2,1,4)
41–
Top two and bottom two couples RHA ; middle two couples LHA
49–
All Reels4 on own sides (3,2,1,4)
57–
3c+2c & 1c+4c (both end pairs of couples) turn RH on sides | 2c+1c (mid couples) LHA | 2c+1c (mid couples) cast off one as 4c dances up 2 (to 3,4,2,1) (See Note)

Repeat Part 2 twice from new positions [65–128].The order is now (1,2,4,3)
Then dance Part 2 again, but 1c stands in 1pl except for the reels [49–56] At end 3c dances up one to finish (1,2,3,4)
