The notes say this is a “dance for the Ruby Wedding of Jonathan and Mary Ross who were married at Boyndie Kirk near Whitehills, Banffshire in March 1953.”
The instructions give the tune as “The Boyndie Knot” by George Meikle whereas SCDDB currently links a tune called “The Knotted Piece of String” also by George Meikle. Its not clear if these are the same tune.
