NB the instructions for this dance in some versions of original publication omit any mention of bars 23–24. The North Ayrshire branch confirms bars 17–24 should read:
17–20 The first and third couples dance counter-clockwise half way round the set to original side, while the second and fourth couples dance left hands across in the centre.
21–22 All four couples face their partners and set.
23–24 All four couples turn their partner by the right hand once round, the second and fourth couples finishing in promenade hold, men with partners on their left.

- All set, 1s & 3s cast to 2nd/4th places while 2s & 4s dance in & turn to face out to 1s/3s, all dance 1/2 reels of 4 across ending with 2s & 4s in centre facing opposite sides while 1s & 3s loop round to face anticlockwise
