| (From the Columbus June 1999 ball program, no source given. Patty Lindsay asked Laura Russell (teacher in Columbus) for a source and got a history lesson. “It was written by Dale Birdsall for Dick DeLong of Columbus. We asked Dale to write it as a Christmas surprise for Dick. Fred Moyes wrote the original tune for it as an additional surprise! Dale says he will publish it in his book of dances — when he gets it ready!”” Dale Birdsall is formerly of our branch and now in Vermont”.) | |
