In the first part of this video the MC gives a recap of the dance.
Johnsonville SCD Club hosted the New Dancers’ Celebration in Wellington, New Zealand this year. The dance was held at the Newlands Centennial hall and Lynne Scott and Associates provided the music. Jean Malcolm and Richard Hardie are the band’s other members. “The Kingston Flyer” was devised by Noeline O’Connor and takes its name from a well-known South Island tourist train. Our MC was Johnsonville club tutor Rod Downey. Oh, and please note the bunting around the hall - this was its first outing. Several of Johnsonville’s new members held a bunting bee, using donated tartan and plain fabric.
