Dance Video The Honeymoon (Video 1)

Published on 12 Nov 2015 Jim Stott, who is on the Management Board of the RSCDS and an active member of the Aberdeen Branch, began teaching P4/5 pupils at Meiklemill Primary School, Ellon in September 2013 to promote 'Jigs and Reels'. The class learned a lot of Ceilidh dances, then were introduced to several dances from the Jigs and Reels pack offered by the RSCDS. Jim worked with the teacher to practice steps and formations with her class during the week, and they all gained a Bronze Accreditation Medal and the school got its 'Bronze RSCDS Accreditation'. The children passed their Introductory Medal Tests in June 2014 and then learned how to dance 'The Honeymoon' for their Headteacher's retirement in December 2014.
