Dance Video Start Your Engines (Video 4)

(No short description)
Danced in San Francisco April 2022.Start Your Engines was devised in 2012 by Ellen Ternes of Frederick, Maryland, commemorating the life and career of world-famous Scottish race-car driver Dario Franchitti. It is published in a 2015 book named StrathsBabes which includes dances of hers and fellow deviser Pam Stephens, the latter whose Memories of Mary Ann (S32) was published by the RSCDS in its 2013 Book 47. The SCDDB lists eleven dances by her, the majority in the aforementioned publication. Dario Franchitti was born in 1973 in Bathgate, West Lothian, (today somewhat an Edinburgh outer suburb, pop. 23,600, just a twenty-mile drive to the west from its city center). He is a former race-car driver and now a motor-sports commentator, four-time IndyCar Series champion (2007-2011 except 2008), three-time Indianapolis 500 winner, and the 2008 winner of the "24 Hours of Daytona." He was married to American actress Ashley Judd from 2001 to 2013 and now married to Englishwoman Eleanor Robb, and they have two young daughters born in 2015 and 2019. Dario Franchitti may now use the suffix MBE with his name having been named a Member of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth among her Birthday Honours of 2014.... In this performance only 1st couple turn RH in bars 21-24 though the instructions suggest all three couples should turn.
