A video of The Alderwood Knot has recently been uploaded. The overview describes the dance as a 40-bar strathspey in a square set, but the video and the accompanying music appear to be 32-bars.

I have the original text. Indeed 32 bars. Have added formations and a crib. Please check the crib and suggest improvements. The tune [Suggested tune: “A Long Road to Urquhart,” composed by Liz Donaldson, or any strong strathspey.] still needs to be added, but is not yet on SCDDB; help needed. Eric

I don’t know about that tune, but there’s a tune called Lang Road to Urquhart Castle by Muriel Johnstone. This appears, among other places, in Muriel’s “To Dance To Vol.3”.
