Issue 1151: Midsummer Madness. SCDDB Contributed Cribs & Diagrams is a copy of MiniCribs.

New issue submitted

Just two comments:

(a) With Minicribs there is one more or less reason why some of them might be in SCDDB Contributed Cribs - in the past it was not trivial to add Minicribs automatically for several reasons. Thus, it could happen, that dances might have been in Minicribs, but not (yet) in SCDDB. Hence, if dancers needed the descriptions in a list or similar, they might have added this as a contributed one.

(b) I suggest that if Roland finds an SCDDB Contributed Crib which is an (almost) identical copy of either Eric cribs, Minicribs, or any other crib in SCDDB, he should be allowed to just delete it without having to post the all as issues. This should streamline the process and make it more efficient.

That Minicrib was probably added before SCDDB started including Minicrib. It should obviously be deleted. I leave that to Roland.

Let’s follow the normal procedure: each problem is made into a formal “issue”, which is then “fixed”. That leaves a clear trace in the “issues” collection of who did what. It takes little trouble, and can be useful later, if a new problem arises for the same dance. Eric

This SCDDB Contributed Cribs & Diagrams (copy of MiniCrib) was added on 2013-03-31 and MiniCribs on 2013-08-21.
