Edwin Werner wrote “The Drunken Sailor” in 2004, and modified bars 17-24 in 2011, without giving the modified dance a new name. This can lead to confusion, even in the set while dancing, when different dancers disagree on which version is being danced.
Edwin has told me that the revised version is now called "The Drunken Sailor (adapted). I have added that to SCDDB as a separate dance, and transferred the Minicrib, e-crib and formation data to that version.
To avoid confusion, the original version also needs to be uniquely identifiable on SCDDB; it is now named “The Drunken Sailor (original)”, I have added an e-crib too.
The diagram still needs to be renamed and moved to “adapted”, and the Minicrib needs to be given that new name too.
