Issue 124: Christies Strathspey

The database says that this dance contains corners pass and turn. But the crib says CPCP. Minicrib says corners pass and turn (starting with 1st corner). I imagine it is a mistake in the crib, but I don’t possess the publication to check this.

Hi, Rosamund is right this is a mistake in the crib. The original says “First comers pass and turn…” + “Second comers pass and turn…” for 25-28 + 29-32. Thus, I forward this to Eric. Cheers, Heiko

ISTR that Eric is on holiday right now, so the final resolution of this in Eric’s cribs may have to wait for a while.
In the meantime I’ll take the liberty to hot-patch the crib in the database.

Incidentally, while we’re at it, the crib says that 1c finish facing 2nd corners at the end of bar 24. How does that jibe with bars 25-28 being first corners pass and turn? Also, are 1st couple doing anything special between bars 28-29?

I am back from my holiday in Sweden. Thanks to Rosamund for pointing out the error, which came from an unreliable source I had used. I have now corrected my own crib and the copy on the database. For bars 28-29 I have guessed that 1c pass Rsh. I will get hold of the original text to check the crib, but this issue can now be taken as fixed.
