Hi Alasdair, thanks for this information about “Mrs May Anderson” and your framed copy, and sorry for the longish delay in reply… I have a question about the name spelling of “Eileen Millar”… your copy reads “Millar”, not “Miller”, correct? If so, I need to adjust the database for that person. I wanted to make sure it is not a typo from your end.

In his mail to the team, Alasdair wrote : “Dear All, I couldn’t recall what this was about but having now found the correct paperwork the dance citation is as follows:- Mrs. May Anderson| Strathspey| for 3 couples | This dance was devised by Eileen Miller to celebrate Mrs. May Anderson’s retiral from the St James’ Church Scottish Country Dance Club. Mrs Anderson was the club’s teacher for 40 years. Hope this clears up the spelling. Alasdair Graham, Dumbarton, Scotland”. I kept the original text from the framed picture as extra note and corrected the misspelled “Millar” from the first submission to “Miller”. All fine now, issue closed, thanks to Alasdair for clearing the issue!
