the diagram for the dance 12983 (The Drunken Sailor (original)) appears on the site for the dance 17923 (The Drunken Sailor (adapted)). This is obvious then comparing the cribs and the diagram on the site: http://my.strathspey.org/dd/issue/new/dance/12983/ Please correct this. The videos on this site are correct. Sincerely Heinz Bender

Hi Keith, this looks like a job down your way. But before you make changes, you should know that I am having second thoughts on the separation of the two versions, into two distinct dances, as they only differ on bats 17-24 in that the end couples join in too.
I am going to ask Edwin, and ask Anselm for advice. If we decide to merge the two SCDDB entries, I would tend to add a “previous version” not to the e-crib. Perhaps you may want to think about the diagram.
Greetings,
Eric

Hi Eric,
I support you in the opinion to possibly re-join the two entries (and maybe add some extra infos).
Actually, Edwin has to make up his mind, what the official version of the dance should be. How shall anyone sort it out, if there are two variations with the same title?!? …and even worse how are dancers supposed to dance it in the same set.
The extensions “(original)” and “(adapted)” are also not official, but added by Eric to distinguish the two ‘official’ descriptions.
Just my tuppence worth ;) Heiko
