Dear Heiko, This may be somewhat misusing the issue system but as far as I know there is no “general” issue, only for particular DB objects.

In making a systematic check for broken URLs, there are quite a lot of other dances with broken links to the http://www.javastandrewsociety.com/ page. All these dances have E-cribs, minicrib and (at least one) diagram.

I checked a few with the wayback machine archive and the old links look like instructions typed in from original books. However they are (almost) all pretty well known and fairly straightforward dances, ie none devised by local dancers. So since these links are all now broken, I think they could be removed.

If you feel like doing this, the list of SCDDB dances with broken links to www.javastandrewsociety.com are: https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/373/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/445/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/1758/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/2935/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/2956/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/3129/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/3152/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/3435/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/3541/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/3672/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/4032/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/4068/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/4827/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/5239/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/6359/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/6373/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/6915/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/6957/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/7109/ https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/7111/

It’s probably easiest for me to get rid of these links because I get to execute SQL directly on the database server, instead of getting RSI from having to click around the admin interface. Something like DELETE FROM acedd_danceurl WHERE url LIKE "%javastandrewsociety%; should do the trick … (pauses) … and tadaa, it’s done!
