Keith appears to have an error on his diagram, and this is confusing a lady on Scottish Dance Teachers FB.
On 29-32 All set and cross to own sides, so 1s and 3s are in original places on the men’s side, 2s and 4s on women’s side. On 33-40 they set and la Baratte with the opposite person, so they change sides. (It might help if the crib words also said to Set and La Baratte with opposite person) On 41-44 They then promenade ½ way so 1s are on the men’s side at the foot facing the 2s on the women’s side. In Drewry’s words 1s and 3s have changed places on the men’s side, 2s and 4s on the women’s side.
Keith’s diagram suggests they Set and La Baratte with their partners, up and down the dance. This is incorrect.
