Hi Reuben
Inchmickery is on the programme for the Maidenhead Tea Dance (Sunday 13th May 2018 with live music from Ian Muir - Prestwick - and me if you’re interested) and I was compiling recorded music for the Maidenhead Class when I spotted an error.
You have the tune listed as “Inchmickery” by Neil Barron, but the dance is a jig and Neil’s tune is a (very nice) reel. You have two recordings listed, and both use Neil’s “The Warehouse” as the original. Don’t know why, and I can see no reason for the dance not to be a reel, but that is another question.
You just need to correct the tune entry. Easy enough mistake and I guess not yours.
Keep up the good work. This is a very useful tool.
Bob

Dear Bob,
in the name of the editors of the SCDDB/DanceData on the Strathspey server, thank you very much for the flowers… however, Reuben is not part of them. He is maintaining the SCD Dictionary what is a different resource.
About the tune - I am sorry, but there is a misunderstanding:
The dance “Inchmickery” and the tune “Inchmickery” have nothing to do with each other.
The former is a Jig by the late Roy Goldring (suggested tune “The Warehouse” by Neil Barron) the latter is a Reel by Neil Barron and the original tune for late Ann Dix’s dance “King’s Croft” and published alongside with it in “Reel Friends Book 2”.
Thus, the entry is correct. Better use “The Warehouse” instead ;)
All the best, Heiko Schmidt
