Why is the title “The Left-Handed Fiddler” described as an ‘unofficial’ title when that is how it is spelt in the Online Source at http://www.pixton.org/scottishinsalem/lfthndfidlr.html?

To me, the title of the entry in DanceData (without the hyphen) is the ‘unofficial’ title!

You are right. Not only is their website adding the hyphen, it would even be correct English. I added it and deleted the alternative title altogether as there IS none. (Sidenote: funnily enough, on their website, they go for a hyphen-less version, stating: “Dedicated to Barbara McOwen, a right handed fiddler”) …
