As a result of a scripted check of SCDDB progressions compared to those in E-cribs and MiniCribs, I reported some inconsistences to the MiniCrib team. For this dance I had the followed response from MiniCrib:
“Joe Foster’s Jig” - there are 2 dances with this title:
Joe Foster’s Jig (J32, 3/4L) – Mitchell: Whetherly 14 Joe Foster’s Jig (J32, 3/3L) – Noden: Crystal An error has occurred, perhaps a result of importing a MiniCrib version where Charles Upton has confused the 2 dances? In essence, the 2 dances have ended up with the same instructions - both relating to the dance by Dick Noden, Leicester Crystal Collection. I think it would be a good idea to delete the crib for the dance attributed to John W Mitchell, Whetherly Book 14, just leaving the stub. I hope that we might be able to get the Whetherly Book 14 at some point to be able to write a crib for the dance.

I have accordingly deleted the incorrectly assigned crib.

FWIW, I have a copy of the collected works of John W. Mitchell courtesy of Alison Mitchell (his daughter). I could probably dig out Whetherly Book 14 and scan the dance description in question if that would be any help. (Please don’t ask me to scan the lot.)
