Description

(You will also see that we have just recently uploaded a video of this dance - so hopefully that is OK) Separately could we ask for two small changes: 1 Could the extra info be changed to: “Devised in memory of David Talbot, Kathy’s husband, who always made any newcomer to SCD feel very welcome, no matter what their dancing ability. This dance captures how he would often add an extra “twirl” or “Birl” whenever he could, making it more fun.” (This just alters the positions of the names of Kathy and David so that in the abbreviated version visible on the overview tab it becomes obvious that the dance is in memory of David rather than Kathy who is very much still with us) 2 Would it be possible for the order of the three tunes in the recommended music just be reversed to Scott Meikle… Billy Thom’s… MacPhails to reflect the sequence that the tunes are played in the recording and emphasises Scott Meikle - the tune that led to the selection of that recording in the first place. Kathy, Rita & I hope these are acceptable requests - the music perhaps is not so critical but the first point about the names is currently a bit unfortunate! Many thanks again for all your sterling work at the coal face of the Database. Best Wishes Roy Birkinshaw

Assigned changed to »murrough« (previously »None«)
Disposition changed to »Fixed« (previously »New«)

I have made those two (perfectly reasonable!) changes.

However the upload of videos to the strathspey website is unfortunately not working at the moment (its been broken for some time). The best thing would be to upload it to youtube (or vimeo). Then you can link it in the database by using the “Add video (from Youtube/Vimeo)” option instead.
