- Description

I was taught “Cariboo Capers” in class and remember the turn for first couple during the last four bars as being LEFT hand (I don’t have the full dance description available to back this up though) I didn’t notice the Tay dancers opted for a right-hand turn when I submitted the link to their video (possibly they did so to allow for their birling down to 4th place after 2 times through). Kind regards, Ilana

Thanks Ilana. None of the e-cribs team have a copy of the original (but we will keep looking).
There is a crib on the SCD dictionary site but it says it comes from the Tay Dancers who made the video so if there is a mistake there they may have propagated it.

Keith seems to have the original sheet, have asked him for help.

Keith’s copy of page number 6 of the original publication clearly states that the 1 1/2 turns are “right hand”. Video and crib therefore are indeed correct and Ilana’s teacher made amendments during class. Murrough will most likely polish his e-crib with having the a copy of the original page now.

Murrough did final changes to his e-crib to finalise this issue.
