This tune is published in Book 13 (1951 edition) as an alternate tune for The Reel of the 51st Division. There the tune is attributed to “Nath. Gow.”, while the current db entry says “Traditional”. I don’t know how to check which is correct. Regards, Bill Unger

The ABC tune finder has two sources both of which quote Gow - Third Collection of Niel Gow’s Reels (1792) which seems slightly at odds with Nath. Gow. Ive left it as traditional.
