Bonnie Lass in Book 28.3 gives the date as 1754 Keith’s diagram gives a Playford date My records oflayford dances shows that there was a dance called The Bonny Lass and it was published in the following Playford Editions 1710, 1714, 1718 &1728 I don’t think these can be the same dances. Needs confirming Many thanks

Assigning to Keith to check his diagram. It does seem quite possible there are many dances with such a title. Or perhaps just successive evolutionary variations over the years?

The RSCDS Combined edition of books 25-30 published in 2015 attributes this dance to “Playford: The Dancing Master Volume the second, 1710.” I changed the details in the diagram then and have now changed the details on the overview page.

For the time being, and as this is in line with official RSCDS revised publications, I will close this issue now.
