Issue 2447: Bob Sanders on YouTube
- Object
- Bob Sanders (Recording)
- Submitter
- Finlay Forbes
- Assigned to
- Murrough Landon
- Priority
- Normal
- Disposition
- Ignored
- Description
-
I am not sure if this is the appropriate medium for making this point but the RSCDS appears to have made an error when downloading this track on YouTube.
Instead of Bob Sanders, what has been downloaded is “A Trip to Aberdeen” followed by the first 32 and a bit bars of “Keppoch’s Rant”.
Please accept my apologies if this is not something that is in your “Bailiwick”

Thanks for reporting it. I agree the “video” https://youtu.be/Mv74hkHnEZg has a closing chord around 4:38 then restarts in strathspey time.
However as you suspected Im not sure there is much the database can do about this - so Ive marked is as Ignored from our point of view. I have put a note on the album and recording entries but in the current SCDDB web software this is not displayed to users (only visible to editors).
I see the RSCDS has disabled youtube comments which would have been the obvious way to report this. So I suggest that you email the RSCDS directly. In my limited experience emails to the central address do get forwarded to the appropriate person.
