Description

As said at the end of the extra info under the entry for the (original) Sc. Nat. Archives, most of the dances of the old archives are not in the new online sc nat arch as published on the london branch website. I see that each of the dance entries on the new list has the online resource (I did not check all ;-) ), But - like the entry for the (original) Archives which has a complete list under the tab ‘dances’ with the possibility to click on each of the dances - I miss an entry ‘Sc Nat Archies new on line’ with the same possibilities. The mentioning of the online resource in / under the entry for the original Archives gives wrong expectations i.m.o. to find danes from the original archives., despite the info at the end of the ‘extra info’ (who reads that all?) A redirection from the one to the other entry and v.v. of course is also advisable. Gr. Wanda

I forgot to say that a list of names AND authors would be nice. Like the list of the old SNA dances. That way you can also put the authors in alphabetical order instead of the dances. Not a list with only dance names as is in the London branch archives

Hi Wanda, we have put up the list with all dances and some of the tunes as far as tunes were connected to the dances. Find the list here: https://my.strathspey.org/dd/publication/1668/
The comments/notes on the original publication entry will stay as they are, as the lengthy explanation is necessary to keep track of the history of those two almost identically named archives. No one NEEDS to read it, but it is good to not have to research all the time as to why there are two lists and what unites and separates them at the same time (this is especially true for us editors).
Links to and from both lists are established. Thank you!
