The recommended recording “The New Petronella” played by Jimmy Lindsay & his Band on R.S.C.D.S. record nr 2 (= book 28) is actually a reel, but due to the few LP’s available to the devisor at the time of first publication in 1983 this choice was made. And the recommendation was left so ever since. Devised on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the The Hague Branch in 1973. The dance was named after the well known Lover’s Walk alongside the Ladebraes in St Andrews.
