Issue 2824: Gates of Edinburgh Videos
- Object
- The Gates of Edinburgh (Dance)
- Submitter
- Anthea Macdonald (dancefilly)
- Assigned to
- Murrough Landon
- Priority
- Normal
- Disposition
- Fixed
- Description
-
It might be worthwhile pointing out that, in the two videos added by Murrough Landon, bars 21-24 are done with skip change of step rather than the recommended pas de basque. It could give a misleading impression of the most challenging part of the dance.
Thanks, Doug Macdonald RSCDS-SGVB

Thanks. I added a comment that in Edinburgh it is a local tradition to turn both hands with skip change rather than pas de basque.
