Description

The diagram seems to indicate that 2 man and 1 lady are passing right shoulder to get around for the reel, they are in fact turning with 3/4 with right hand (as she original instructions and the cribs say). Or maybe I’m misreading the diagram?

I think the little L and R in between the lines showing their tracks indicate that hands are taken when passing. If they just pass by the shoulder there would be no L or R. But Im assigning this to Keith for a definitive answer.

As Murrough says, an L, R or N (nearer) is used when dancers take hands in a movement.

Please note this diagram is not a Pilling diagram. The Pilling’s Committee did not draw it, none of the diagrams in SCDDB are from the Pilling’s Wee Green Books. My diagrams, and other peoples, are based on the Pillings symbols but with additional features to provide better information.
