Issue 305: Correction
- Object
- A Trip to Bavaria (Dance)
- Submitter
- Edwin Werner
- Assigned to
- Heiko Schmidt
- Priority
- Normal
- Disposition
- Fixed
- Description
-
It should perhaps be added that the title of this dance was originally “Eine Reise nach Bayern”.
The only two original tunes are:
“Eine Reise nach Bayern/ A Trip to Bavaria”, composed by James MacGregor-Brown
and
“Dyster Laddie”, composed by Alexander McGlashan
Any other tunes are NOT original.
Cheers Edwin

I also added the composer to “Dyster Laddie”.
Looking at SCDDB that means, that there is not a single recording with the original music :(
However, none of the musicians can be blamed, because neither the Collins book nor the TACbooks leaflet from 1991 states a suggested tune :( Thus, how could anyone have ever known?
Best, Heiko
