Issue 3145: Tunes for Teviot Brig

Object
Teviot Brig (Recording)
Submitter
Finlay Forbes
Assigned to
Murrough Landon
Priority
Normal
Disposition
Fixed
Description

I have just listened to this track on Youtube and noticed that the set includes “Wi a hundred pipers” in between “I loe nae a laddie but ane” and “The Pomander Jig”.

Bill Douglas plays the tunes in 32 bar sequences, which means that total bar count is correct but also means that the dance repeats start part way through each tune.

Disposition changed to “Fixed” (previously “New”)

Thanks. I have added “Wi a hundred pipers” as 3rd tune and set “The Pomander Jig” as 4th tune. I also added your comment about the 32 bar phrasing of the music despite this being for a 24 bar dance.
