Description

The diagram for Quantock Hills contains a number of mistakes (presumably because it is based on the MiniCrib which contains the same mistakes):

• The dashed line in the box for bars 1-8 is wrong because the 4-bar boundary is actually after the LA¾, not the half RA. The diagram places it after what is in fact bar 6 of the dance, not bar 4.

• The chase on bars 7-8 for 1st and 3rd couples is one quarter, not three quarters.

• Hence, the order of couples for the reel of four on bars 9-16, as well as the half rights and lefts on bars 17-20 is 3421, not 1423. This is borne out by Figure 3 in the original instructions.

• The order of couples is all right again for the circle on bars 21-24, but actually the instructions stipulate set on bars 21-22 and ¾ circle on bars 23-24. The set is missing from the diagram (and the crib).

I shall be sending these corrections to the MiniCribs folks as well.
