Hi,
The Extra Info for The Rutland Reel is now wrong, following the recording by Marian Anderson and the forthcoming adoption by the RSCDS. Recommended tune is Mrs Mary Printy (Iain T MacPhaill).
Entries for the Book / CD are not linked together - I would happily do this if I was allowed.
Regards, Amanda

Dear Eric, if there is somebody who has adopted the publication, you should give him/her a chance to do it.
If not, then you should at least assign the issue to yourself.
I had the Rutland reel open since last night, but could not submit the changes due to a technical problem. When I submitted the changes, we had steps, tune etc in there twice… and certainly other things like your changes in status etc have certainly been overwritten.
Could you please review those parts, you did change?
I assign that part of the issue now to you.
I will go on looking through the Book/CD linking issue.
Cheers, Heiko

Dear Heiko,
I completely agree we should not edit an item assigned to or adopted by someone else.
Our collision was a pure accident.
There have been no edits (by you or by me)on “The Sunday Class Dance Book 1” at URL: http://my.strathspey.org/dd/admin/acedd/publication/1164/ since dec. 2013. This issue 446 was created by Amanda, who assigned it to you. I never touched this issue till now.
I did act on issue 447, on the Person Amanda Peart, which was unassigned. I made the changes Amanda proposed, and assigned the issue to myself as “fixed”. The only point not done was the link CD to book. I am glad you are taking that on.
I did edit the “Rutland Reel” but that was just a “straight edit” from the editor interface, not coming from an issue, and so it was not assigned to anyone. I had no way of knowing you had kept it open overnight.
The publication IS adopted by you, but nowhere on the Rutland Reel page can I see that fact. As far as I have understood, “adopting” applies only to the publication page, not to all the elements in that page.
This accident warns us that if an item has been open for editing for any length of time, we should “reload” the page [Ctl-R] before resuming the editing, just in case some other editor has been working on it in the meantime.
These conflicts are rare, I see no need to have any “locking” system to block double access.
I will re-enter the overwritten edits for this dance.
Greetings,
Eric

As this issue has been open for too long, I am reaasigning it to myself, to finish off what I still need to do

I have added the dedication, the dance intensity and my crib to The Rutland Reel. Heiko, I am reassigning this to you, in case anything still has to be done on Amanda’s original issue, of linking the CD entries. Eric
