I am not 100% sure I am getting it all, sorry. The dance “The Dark Mile” has “Inchgarth Strathspey” as lead tune. Fine. The submitted dance “Maggie ’ the Dales” has a lead tune called “Dark Mile”, and I can’t find a source for the tunes going along with the dance, and no recording is given for that dance. It was published in “25 dances for 25 years” from the RSCDS Ottawa Branch in 1991. Can someone with a copy look it up and tell if there are tunes or recordings for this dance?

The Ottawa book says: “Music ‘The Dark Mile’, The Lothian Band, Second Celebration”, ie it is giving a recording not a tune.

That recording, intended for the dance The Dark Mile, uses “Inchgarth Strathspey”. So I think the tune The Dark Mile is a mistake and should be deleted. I have now done this.
