Person Craigmyle 473

Areas of activity
  • Deviser of dances

The note in book 22 states that Lord Criagmyle devised The Laird of Milton's Daughter while in India. Mark Dancer in issue 3288 writes that:

This would make it Thomas Shaw, 3rd Baron Craigmyle KStJ, 1923 – 1998. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Shaw,_3rd_Baron_Craigmyle).

He succeeded his father as Baron Craigmyle in 1944, and held the title until his death in 1998, so he’s the person who would be referred to as Lord Craigmyle (or just Craigmyle), at the time of publication.

He was posted to India in the late 1940s (where he met his future wife), and was back in England by the mid 1950s (where he was married in 1955).
