Strathspey

1–16

2nd couple dances 16 bars of petronella and set to return to original places while 1st and 3rd couples dance as in petronella double triangles (each dancer petronella to the corner position to their right around the set and then set). All take hands facing up and down or across as appropriate when setting.

17–24

1st couple lead down the middle and up using the highland strathspey traveling step if desired.

25–32

1st and 2nd couple dance right hands across and back by the left ending ready to dance a half poussette.

33- 36

1st and 2nd couple dance a half poussette

37–40

1st and 3rd couples dance a half poussette

41–48

Circle six hands around and back.

Reel

1–16

All couples dance petronella petronella figure as in bars 1–16 of the strathspey

17–24

1st couple lead down the middle and up

25–32

All three couples dance a 3 couple poussette

Second time through the reel

1–16

2nd couple dances 16 bars of petronella and set to return to original places while

1–16

1st and 3rd couples dance as follows: 1st lady and 3rd man pass each other right shoulder using two pas de basque to change places diagonally, while 1st man and 3rd lady turn about on the spot pulling back right shoulder. All set facing up and down and then repeat with roles reversed. Repeat.

17–24

1st couple lead down the middle and up

25–32

Circle 6 hands around and back.
