Dearcmhara is pronounced Jark Vara
I wrote this in my head while Don was driving on our ʻtransport the dogs ʼ trip from Halifax. It is named in honour of the first uniquely Scottish prehistoric creature to be discovered. Dearcmhara is Scottish Gaelic for marine lizard.
