Round the room: 1st couples face anticlockwise, 2nd couples face clockwise.
The dance celebrates 130 years of worship at St Columba’s Church of Scotland, Pont St, London SW1X 0BD.
The original church was built in 1884 and reconstructed after the second world war. It has an architecture in a distinctivelty Swiss style.
The church is also a well known venue for Scottish Country Dancing and its own group, St Columba’s Dancers welcome everyone to join them on the Winter Monday dance evenings. Details are on their website https://stcolumbasdancers.org.
The dance was requested by the group’s convener at the time, Denise Haugh, who chose the name of the dance.
