This dance is in phrases of 6+6+10+10.

The notes say this was devised “to fit the traditional song tune ‘The Black Joke’. This 18th century tune has an unusual structure of 6-bar and 10-bar phrases. It is used for a number of Cotswold Morris dances, which is how John first came across it.”
