Editor’s note: This dance was in honor of the memorable May Ball, 1981, in Sacramento when a dance with Jean Patrick was auctioned off to the highest bidder to help pay Ball expenses. She brought $47.51–sold to the Scot who added the final penny and claimed his dance. The dance is also a pleasant alternative to the named tune for Princess Royal–as recorded by the Berkeley Scottish Players.
