One evening after a dance several of us went to our favorite restaurant. The service that night was much slower than usual, and while we were waiting two of our younger members gathered four pairs of salt and pepper shakers, and “walked through” some dances with them. So then I took a napkin and devised this dance for them. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, as we were very hungry) the food finally arrived just then, and so it never did get done by the shakers it was devised for. However, Marianne Taylor kept the napkin and tried the dance in her workshop the next week, where it went over very well.
