“Snakes and Ladders” is a children’s board game “for wet weather”. One climbs up the ladders and slides down the snakes, eventually making it – in this case to the bottom of the set. Bars 1–8 represent the board, 9- 16 the dice box and counters, and 17–32 the ladders (crossing) and snakes (circles). This dance is dedicated to the Brookline class of the Boston Branch, RSCDS, and was first published in the Tartan Times for May 1978.
