Note: This is the original description, no crib we tried out was better.
A new top couple starts every 16 bars.
- 1–8
- 1c: set, turn RH 4 steps into allemande position facing up, then with pdb turn clockwise as a couple to face down.
- 9–16
- 1c: promenade reel of three (Rsh to 2nd man) with 2c who finish in top place. 1c face out on opp sides in 2nd place.
- 17–24
- 2c+1c+3c: set in triangles. 1c+3c turn symmetrically one & half times, then 3c+1c+4c set in inverted triangles (lc facing in). 2c dance as 1c did in 1–8.
- 25–32
- 1c+4c: double figure eight in 6 steps, then 1c dance down & 4c cast up. 2c+3c reel as 9–16.
- 33–40
- 1c+5c: set, dance 4 hands round to the left, drop pt’s hand & change under on the sides to face out. 3c: as 1–8. 2c+4c: set, turn symmetrically, set, as 17–24.
- 41–48
- 1c: set turning to face in, propelled pivot to own side. 2c+5c: figure eight as 25–32. 3c+4c: reel of three as 9–16.
