For Alex Coats of Kenora, who sang a calypso devised in March 1997 at the ceilidh in Winnipeg. Many of the dancers at the weekend school received amusing mention in the calypso.

Drewry added these NOTES:

  1. This dance should not be taken too seriously.

  2. I nearly gave the dance the alternative title “Coates Crescent” but feared that such a name for a light-hearted dance might upset too many people in high places.
