From the original description:

As part of Edinburgh Branch's 75th Anniversary celebrations the chairman, Brian Harry, held a reception for members in the Royal College of Physicians.

Two teams of children from Branch classes gave a demonstration which included this dance, specially written for the occasion by Isobel Cook.

This dance is a Jig. It is correctly described on the contents page of the Five Anniversary Dances booklet and the music is in 6-8 time. The description with the instructions is wrong and should say "A Jig for 4 couples in a square set".
