From the original description:

As part of Edinburgh Branch’s 75th Anniversary celebrations the chairman, Brian Harry, held a reception for members in the Royal College of Physicians.

Two teams of children from Branch classes gave a demonstration which included this dance, specially written for the occasion by Isobel Cook.

This dance is a Jig. It is correctly described on the contents page of the Five Anniversary Dances booklet and the music is in 6–8 time. The description with the instructions is wrong and should say “A Jig for 4 couples in a square set”.
