Issue 1529: Suggested alternate spelling of "Scallywag"

If I had heard the name “Scallywag”, instead of seeing it in the list of dances in Book 52, I would have searched for “Scalawag”; until today, I was unaware that in British usage “scallywag” is a correct spelling. So I suggest that an “also known as” entry be added for the American spelling.

Hey Jonathan, as it seems, these two terms (that sound similar, I agree) do not just differ in spelling, they seem to have different meanings in British and American English. Hence I am hesitant to add “scalawag” as a spelling variation.

I believe the deviser, although based in California for a long time, was originally British and likely to use that spelling and meaning intentionally.

I will not add an alias then as it would mislead… Closing the issue now.
