There are three books attributed to Jack McConachie as ‘Publisher’ whereas, the publisher was The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Incorporated as is clearly stated in these books. Jack McConachie ‘Collected’ then ‘Arranged’ the dances for the 18th Century and Grampian Collections. He was a joint ‘Deviser’ for Volume One except for Lady Mary Douglas which is attributed to Thomas Wilson’s Companion to the Ballroom, 1816. I know of no dance that is solely attributed to being ‘devised’ by Jack McConachie Not even The Flight of the Sand-Martins which is correctly attributed to being devised by Patrick Bankhart see Reel 18 and should be corrected. Please amend Publisher or add Collector and Arranger. Many thanks

Anyone in possession of the two remaining books in question? “Grampian Collection of Scottish Country Dances” and “Scottish Country Dances of The 18th Century”. The issue with “The Flight of Sand-Martins” seems to be resolved as there are two dances in the database of different type, one for McConachie, one for Bankhart.
